Get ready: English for 60+ people: First transnational meeting in Satriano di Lucania
Satriano di Lucania, Italy, recently hosted the first meeting for the Get Ready 60+ project, aimed at enhancing English language skills for adults over 60. The event took place at the picturesque Masseria u Salier’, where representatives from partner organizations gathered to shape the future of this initiative.
The meeting primarily focused on refining the educational proposal introduced by the Spanish partner, Escuela Oficial de Idiomas (EOI).
Coordinators by Karuzela and LUETEB confirmed the proposal and established a clear timeline for the implementation of activities. Each partner is
tasked with creating three unique lessons, each addressing different real-life scenarios to ensure an engaging and comprehensive learning experience for the participants.
Another crucial aspect discussed was catering to the varying skill levels within the target group. The team agreed on essential tools and teaching methods, ensuring that lessons are accessible and effective for all learners.
By the end of September, all partners are expected to submit detailed lesson plans, including content and text outlines that were collaboratively developed during the sessions. After the lesson plans are finalized, each partner will conduct local lessons and workshops in line with the project’s objectives.
Looking ahead, the next transnational project meeting (TPM) will be held in Spain in the final week of November. Dissemination was another key focus of the meeting, with all partners agreeing that final project results and materials should be ready before the concluding TPM.
